Leah C. Healey, Esq.
For 15 years, Leah C. Healey has represented governmental entities and businesses in transactions involving the redevelopment of contaminated properties. Her particular specialty is representing municipalities regarding New Jersey's Local Redevelopment and Housing Law. Ms. Healey advises clients on matters of redevelopment, brownfields, regulatory compliance and transactional law. In 1998, Ms. Healey was appointed by Governor Christine T. Whitman to serve on the New Jersey Brownfields Task Force. She is a member of the Morris County Bar Association's Environmental Law Committee and the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar. She is also a member of the Perth Amboy Brownfields Advisory Committee, a member of the Regional Plan Association's Metropolitan Brownfields Initiative Steering Committee and a frequent lecturer on the topic of Redevelopment and Brownfields. Ms. Healey is the former president and present trustee of the Hudson River Waterfront Conservancy and the former Vice Chair of the Hoboken Waterfront Development Corporation.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Ms. Healey is a frequent speaker at state and national conferences. Among her speeches are the 1996, 1999 and 2000 National EPA Brownfield Conferences in Pittsburg, Dallas and Atlantic City. She was a guest speaker for the Rutgers Bloustein Department of Urban Planning Graduate studies classes in 2000 and 2005 on the topic of redevelopment. She also spoke at September 2001 Governors Conference on Housing and Community Redevelopment in Atlantic City and for the past three years has spoken at the Cook College Brownfield Redevelopment Seminar. Appointed by Governor Whitman in 1998 and reappointed by Governor McGreevy in 2000 to serve on Task Force and advise on Brownfield Redevelopment issues in New Jersey. Chair of Policy and Legislative Committee.
Vice Chair, Hoboken Waterfront Corporation
Appointed by Mayor Russo in 1993 to 1994 to serve as advisory Board to Planning Board on waterfront development.
Chair, Hoboken Shade Tree Commission
Appointed for a five year term by Mayer Dowd Roberts to serve as Chairman in 2002.
