New Jersey Future's Smart Growth Awards. New Jersey
Future's Smart Growth Awards honors professionals who are
committed to bringing smarter growth to New Jersey by adopting
the land use and design principles embodied in the State
Development and Redevelopment Plan.

Kit Falcon was recently appointed to serve as Township Attorney and the firm is engaged in a wide variety of initiatives including downtown redevelopment, historic preservation, and land use issues.

After having served as Planning Board Attorney,
Kit Falcon has been appointed Township Attorney. The Township is undertaking a number of important matters involving the construction of new municipal facilities, COAH certification, and open space initiatives.
Kit Falcon is a member of the New Jersey Advisory Board of the Trust for Public Land (TPL). TPL is a national organization and a leader in New Jersey in pursuit of its mission to conserve land in cities, suburbs and wilderness areas. Its Parks for People Program in Newark is in the process of building seven parks and community playgrounds there.

Sharon Cole, serves as volunteer
Special Counsel to the Millstone Basin Area Affiliate of Habitat
for Humanity, Board of Directors. When the Affiliate could
not obtain a Certificate of Occupancy from the Township of East
Windsor (which was needed to allow the Habitat family to move
into their new home),
Ms. Cole, under the guidance of partner,
Diane Alexander, helped Habitat obtain expedited Wetlands permitting approval from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP).
Ms. Cole has also worked with both the Township of East Windsor and the Affiliate in the preparation of extensive documentation required by the N.J. Council on Affordable Housing (COAH). She has represented the Affiliate at Closings and is currently working with the Affiliate regarding future land acquisition and purchase. Most recently,
Ms. Cole has assisted Habitat in the rigorous procedures of its Family Selection process and designation of a new family for the Affiliate’s next home, which will be sponsored by Toll Brothers, Inc. and Youth United.
